Ioannis Nanos

Ioannis Nanos holds a BSc Degree in Applied Informatics from University of Macedonia, Greece, an MSc in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems from London School of Economics (LSE), UK, and a PhD in Information Systems from University of Macedonia, Greece. He also has a certificate from EUCIP (European Certification of Informatics Professionals) in the field of “IT Project Management”.

Currently Dr. Nanos is an Adjunct Lecturer at the International Hellenic University, at the Department of Organization Management, Marketing and Tourism (Thessaloniki) and at the Department of Supply Chain Management (Katerini). He is also teaching in postgraduate courses at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and at the Hellenic Open University. Ioannis has many years of teaching experience in BSc, MBA, MSc courses and Vocational Training Programmes, in the areas of Information Systems, E-commerce/E-Business, Supply Chain Management, Information and Communication Technologies.

Also, Dr. Nanos has worked for many years as an independent business and ICT consultant to many small and medium enterprises and to academic institutions (University of Macedonia, International Hellenic University). For a period of three years (2007-2010) he was the CEO of Central Market of Thessaloniki, a public authority/organization responsible for the operation of the Fruit, Vegetable and Meat Wholesale Market. Finally, for a period of four years (1998-2002) he was responsible for the project management and control of innovative E-commerce projects implemented by Greek companies and funded by the Greek government and the European Union.

He has published and presented papers in several national and international conferences and academic journals and he is a speaker in public events, conferences, forums etc. about Information and Communication Technologies, Entrepreneurship etc.
